For our ancestors, Christmas was the only time of year that was not defined by work. So, at Christmas time, it was okay to slow down, enjoy being together, enjoy food... The spirits of Nukula will transport you to the peace of eternal life, the cradle of nature, tranquility, and holy reverence.
The sauna will be heated on Christmas Eve, December 23, 2025, from 2 to 6 p.m. The Haltia sauna can accommodate 10 people at a time. The sauna is mixed. Please wear a swimsuit or towel around your waist. Women's swimsuits should be without skirts. Men should not wear shorts as swimwear. Adults and children over the age of 3 are welcome.
During your sauna session, you can cool off on the sauna terrace. If snow has covered the area, you can enjoy the pristine whiteness, perhaps by making angel prints in the snow.
In the sauna:
o Towels, one towel per person; you can also bring your own towel, peflets
o Spring water to drink in the sauna & salt
o Shampoo & conditioner
o After the sauna, a Christmas snacks are served
Please bring your own sauna hat and, if necessary, your own sauna slippers.
The sauna is not accessibility.
No alcoholic beverages allowed.
Price: adults and children over 13 years old, €50.00 incl. VAT
children 4–13 years old, €30.00 incl. VAT
The price includes heating, towels, bench covers, drinking water, a Christmas-themed snack after the sauna, and cleaning.
How to get to Nukula:
There is no public transportation to our location.
You can get to Nukula by car, carpool, or taxi. The distance from Jyväskylä to Nukula and from Toivakka to Nukula is 30 km, which takes about 34 minutes.
If you are arriving by car or carpool, please see the website https://nukula.fi/ for arrival instructions https://nukula.fi/yhteydenotto/. We recommend leaving your car in the Nukula car park.
If arriving by taxi, give the taxi driver the address Piiliäntie 71, 41630 Oravasaari. Get out of the taxi at the Nukula parking lot. The taxi will pick you up from the same place
